JOSEPH'S HOUSE HEALING GARDEN: In May 2014, Joseph's House, a D.C. community that offers end-of-life care to homeless men and women with AIDS and other terminal diseases, won the first MakeDC Designing Dreams competition with its desire for a Healing Garden. On May 23, 2017, the construction finished and the garden opened. #GrowLove

RETHINKING THE C&O CANAL: Big news! Georgetown Heritage, a nonprofit with the ambitious goal of revitalizing the mile-long section of C&O Canal that runs through the historic neighborhood, has selected James Corner Field Operations to develop a master plan. MakeDC is proud to be part of the team and will provide local expertise and assisting with public outreach. Read the Georgetown Heritage press release about the project.
