Populus: self-reliant architecture for a self-reliant people. 

Responding to the 2015 D.C. Affordable Living Building Challenge, our design team looked deep within nature to seek out a highly sustainable housing solution for the Deanwood site. In this biomimicry-inspired development, the entire complex acts as a single, living organism and restores the site's natural ecosystem. Awarded "most progressive design" by the competition jury.
